Threatened by Dudley Campaign 5/14/2026

Psalm 139:13-14 (King James Version)

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

As someone who believes in the truth I am going to have to write an editorial I really did not want to write but have to. If anyone who reads the Daily Bray expects the truth it is the only thing I have to give and may get into big trouble for speaking it.

I hope everything I am about to tell is false but was not able to talk to the people who know the story up close and firsthand and got a serious legal threat instead.

A week ago, I was chatting with an old friend who I know the family very well and have no reason to believe they would say anything which was not true. We discussed my wife’s cancer and an operation he had which was a cancer scare and turned out to be non-cancerous and he mentioned how his son has turned into a hardcore Republican from being mildly Dim.

He has no idea I write this column or as involved in the Party although I always knock his door for petition signatures and remind him to vote. He asked who I was voting for and said I was voting for Ed due to his having the courage to be the head petitioner for the No Gas Tax petition.

He then axed about Dudley, which I said I like him and would be a good choice. He mentioned his son knew Chris’ son and was in the same Fraternity at Oregon State for a short time.

He explained he came in during the middle of the year joining their Frat. He said the boy had some issues where he was dating girls and being inappropriate with them. He didn’t really know what it meant or was cautious to say but for some reason the boy got into trouble about it. He was kicked out of the Fraternity and Oregon State after a month and basically disappeared in 24 hours.

I don’t know if Chris had anything to do with him getting out of there but it was mentioned he had the same problem in a college in Texas and finally moved to Southern California. This is not the issue; the issue is what would the Dims do to Chris if this had any truth to it and if he pulled strings to get the son out like any father would. It would likely be the end of his chances of winning especially with the MeToo movement.

I tried to get a clarification from Dudley or his Campaign manager and got threatened to be sued. This is what the manager texted me when I asked about this story:

“The allegations are categorically false and completely without merit. We reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including claims for defamation, against anyone who furthers this false information.”

Frankly, any campaign chairman who threatens someone who is simply trying to find the truth is not the Oregon way. Like they say about Campaign Managers, no matter if we win or lose as long as the check cashes.  This is a corporate method when all he had to do was dial my phone and tell what happened but went straight to calling the suits which you have to think was approved by Chris who I actually like.

I did not want to write this one but it is news whether I like it or not. I have met Dudley one time and tried to interview him after the debate but they would not once I told them I endorsed Ed Diehl which I understood but thought they should get their message out where they could and especially to the grassroots.

The story is potentially damaging if there is any truth to it and my hunch knowing the source pretty well it likely has some credence. The strongarm tactic he or his manager used was far worse and has no place in Oregon. I am not the Dinosaur Press and am simply going where God takes me with this newsletter.

I did not seek out this story and wanted to hear Chris’ side but his manager should have known better than threaten an old man who has nothing to lose. I hope I am dead wrong and can retract this story immediately since the truth is what this is about.

That was the exact wrong thing to do trying to smash a potential voter without even talking to him.  This is a powerful man abusing his power to silence someone who believes Freedom of Speech is what America is about.

I think the people on my newsletter expect this from me and I had to write it whether I wanted to or not. This was a cowardly way to handle it if it was nothing. If it was something how do you expect to hide it from Tiny Kotax and her union thugs?
