Everybody keeps complaining about Christine Drazen not being conservative enough for their vote, yet they have not bothered to read her plan. If you didn’t know better, it is the same plan Donald Trump has without the border control parts which are enforced by the Feds anyway. If they spent a few minutes, they would learn all they need to know.

Forests for Oregon is tired of the negative Nellies who think everyone needs to pass their Conservative purity test, or they are not going to support the candidate. They are going to vote for her even though she is not a real conservative like they are. Read her platform and explain what is not conservative about it. The same thing was said about Trump before he was elected that he was just a New York lib and would never push a true Republican agenda and look how far he has changed the country.

One of her main agenda items is her economic plan which states “Oregon is open for Business”. That in itself is a complete opposite of where the state has been for the last forty years and especially the past ten. She is going to lower taxes and regulations to make it easier for businesses to survive and be welcomed to this incredible land.

She is going to work with the federal government to open more forest lands so there will be lumber jobs available for young people not afraid of hard work. She wants to expand the lumber and lumber by-product industry to increase jobs and energy production from wood waste which Forests4Oregon has been promoting since it began.

The war for the heart and soul of Oregon is in the forests, and she is willing to take that battle head on which no other Governor candidate has tried. There is no way Tiny Kotax wants to talk about it since her plans are to close it and run the rest of the mills out of the state. There is enough valuable timber in the Oregon forests to build houses in America for the next five hundred years while making the forests, rivers, and air cleaner than they are today without blast furnace forest fires.

The other main issue she is addressing is the home purchasing crisis in Oregon. She wants to reduce the cost and streamline the permit process in the state. Kotax obviously does not want people to own homes in Oregon which is why many are leaving. She makes land unavailable and what is available takes forever to get a permit and in many cases costs over $100,000 to purchase all the permits required.

She is proposing exactly what the Forests4Oregon group is promoting which is using some of the 8000 square miles of state land to be developed for homes and farmland. This would make land affordable and available whether it is homesteaded or sold at a discount it would allow new homebuyers a chance at the American dream.

This land needs to be managed properly whether it is for homes or farms or timber to clear out the dead wood which creates fuel for these massive fires or clearing out the dead and dying trees which allows fires into the tops of the forest canopies. More people in the forests make them safer and fire resistant, stopping the fires before they begin.

Voters need to read her plan and realize she is proposing everything Conservatives have been wanting for years. Her proposals for the forests and home ownership are well thought out and common sense which is a refreshing break from the insanity Oregon has suffered under over the last couple decades. It is time to manage the forests rather than letting them die and bring home ownership back to the youth. This is how you make life for them affordable and give them hope for the future.

It is time for Republicans to get off the train platform and get on board the Drazan train with help and money to turn this state around.
