Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
After a $350 million forest fire bill plus with 750 square miles burned, another $60 million in forest mismanagement there are really only two answers for the Oregon forest lands. You either sell it or turn it over to the Antifa fire department and burn a hundred thousand square miles to the ground. Oregonians cannot really afford the current forest mismanagement the Forest Service is providing. It is nothing more than another make work money laundry to pay people for pretend jobs with real tax dollars.
The original intent of the states was as a real estate office for the Federal Gummit. The Constitution set the disbursement of the land by dividing the country into states and then protect those states with forts and soldiers to protect settlers from the Indians. The Feds were not to own anything other than the land under the forts and administrative buildings.
The state was to survey the land and sell it to the citizens who wanted to homestead the land and the money was to be used to pay off the federal debt from the Revolutionary War. When land became too plentiful to sell the land was given for free using the Homestead Act which said every settler could have 640 acres and would be given title if they settled it for a certain length of time which later was taxed for the states.
After the end of the Civil War homesteading and selling ended since there were not enough men left to settle the land outside of the farms and land already settled. There was too much land west of the Rockies and too few people in the country to make it happen. It never happened in Oregon since outside of the Willamette Valley there was no possibility for a rancher or farmer to survive on only 640 acres so it was stopped.
This is why you look at the maps and see states east of the Rockies with as little as three percent control of the state while some Western states have over eighty percent control. In the late 1800s the Fed set up agencies like the Bureau of Land Management to maximize the usage of resources on those lands such as minerals and forests as well as rangelands.
This was a very effective use of the land until the Sierra Club and Communist politicians found a loophole with the endangered species act. They found they could declare any species endangered and use these agencies to lock out any business within miles of the species putting those businesses out of business ending millions of careers over a fraud.
This not only destroyed the lumber industry but caused untold damage to the forests since the same Act kept loggers and now firefighters from managing the forests effectively. There is no longer a goal of maximizing the health of the forests but a mythical protection of certain species who were tagged with the golden endangered designation.
The newest boogie man is Climate Change which allows the locking down of entire states over an unprovable designation other than a declaration. The declaration carries even more weight than the endangered tag and now you have a seventy-year lockdown over the two.
Selling these state lands to private individuals would bypass the lockouts and allow people to manage their own lands as they see fit. There would be some basic laws such as buffer zones for streams and logging regulations, but the Climate Change and harvest quotas would be eliminated with the return of proper forest management based on biology rather than politics. You could also eliminate most of the Forest Service since they would have nothing left to do since their forests would be sold.
This is the most obvious answer to the forest fire crisis the state has now. They can no longer afford hundreds of billions of wasted funds with no hope of return. The state has only two answers, sell it to the people or turn it over to Antifa to burn it down. Looks like Oregon’s Communist Party is leaning toward Antifa and their smoldering wasteland.
Pray for God’s Creation
