Luke 2:11-14 (King James Version)

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

There are some people spreading the claim Jesus was just a story made up by some post Roman intellects to keep the people in control. Never mind the hundreds of people who witnessed Jesus personally or his disciples who went to their deaths never changing their claims, it was all a big conspiracy.

Who would make up such a ridiculous way of making someone the king of the world as coming in the form of a baby? This would be the last way for a God to conquer the world and even the Jews never saw that coming. They expected another King David rising like all of their great leaders through the lineage of David and conquering the Promised Land again.

The idea is so far fetched it could never be invented by man and could only be something God would design. He explained throughout the Old Testament how he would fulfill the law and come down as a man on the very day in the book of Daniel even though Daniel had no idea what he was prophesying.

Then this baby who came from a virgin mother who the village never accepted as a holy birth comes of age and when he declares he is the Messiah in his village who scoff at the unwed son. Later they realize he was the Emmanuel after he shows them miracles and resurrects. He brought a new and completely different religion based on a completed Jewish law.

He added to the Ten Commandments telling his followers to not only follow them but to love your neighbor as yourself as well as loving your enemy which may be the toughest one of all. There are no religions who demand that of their followers. They demand retribution and conquering your enemies as well as your neighbors.

Jesus calls for forgiveness as he forgives you when other religions call for a knife to the throat to force your enemies to consent. God wants you to consent by free will which is the ultimate act of love from God to his worshipers. God already showed his love by sending his only son as a man to be killed in the most barbaric method man could imagine, was buried and then rose again, all for his love of mankind.

By Jewish law the only forgiveness of sin was a blood sacrifice which was either a lamb, ram or bull and Jesus was that perfect sacrifice for man’s sins. The Jews never killed Jesus and neither did the Romans all of man’s sins did. This is where the Replacement Theology falls apart since it was not the Jews but man both Jew and Gentile. If their theory was true then the Jews would not be guilty but mankind would be for killing Jesus, yet Jesus dying was how Satan was defeated.

How would man ever come up with this story? Man would have a king coming on a white horse or some celestial being coming from the stars. They would never consider a baby coming from a virgin birth and then living a perfect life only to be sacrificed on a cross fulfilling 350 prophesies in the Old Testament right down to coming from the lineage of David by both parents.

The beauty of the Gospel is it is as simple as you want it or as complicated. You can be uneducated or a professor like Einstein and it fulfills all your questions and brings you hope and forgiveness to begin your life again. It is the purest form of belief since you become born again symbolized by Jesus in the manger pure and unspoiled by sin. No other religion has forgiveness by God’s perfect sacrifice which is the complete faith. You are saved by God’s grace and mercy Jesus gave freely on the cross. Perfect.
