It is Time for Drazen 7/6/2026

Christine Drazen had a good day at the Hillsboro parade as around 10,000 people lined the streets and gave her a hearty welcome. The funniest one was a guy from his front yard yelled, “save us!”

He summed up the entire campaign as Oregonians can no longer afford Tina Kotax’ Communist spending and redistribution plans which are taxing people out of their cars and homes. She may be able to point to all Trump is doing to hurt Oregonians, but she has to look into a mirror and see the misery she is causing.

Christine had a good day and when someone gives her an opening like that she can simply say help is on the way. She needs a simple two point program stating she will cut taxes a certain percent and open the forests to proper healthy management to help them recover from decades of Democrat abuse.

Kotax has nothing she can point to that has helped Oregonians during her six years. She has been a burden on the workers, the schools, the forests, and businesses. Communists like her do not like businesses and she has been one of the worst. She has closed down every advantage Oregon has had including trying to put an end to free hydro power at a time when energy is in short supply. She cares more about a fake fish study than she does about the four million Oregonians who are trying to survive high electric bills.

Oregonians have to be educated on the history of the forest industry and proper tending and rotation of Oregon’s vast forests. These forests have been closed down by the state and only a fraction of historic production is allowed today. With proper forest management they are healthier, cleaner, more productive, and the wildlife thrives in a healthy forest. The forests are the lungs of the world as it produces incredible amounts of oxygen as a by-product and is produced by young trees more than old growth.

Oregonians should love the look of clearcuts throughout the forests since they are where the deer and elk feed while the new trees are being replanted and another 30 year crop is grown. Grass and underbrush begins growing feeding wildlife and are some of the heathiest and diverse parts of the forests. It may be a bit of an eyesore to little old ladies tending their rose gardens, but to the animals it is manna from heaven.

Kotax cannot point to any of this, rather she protests America by skipping its incredible 250th birthday at a time when the entire world is singing John Denver's Country Road as the World Cup anthem. While Europeans, Asians, and South Americans are falling in love with American greatness, she is being petty and hiding all Oregon has to offer.

From the ski slopes or the Cascades to the beaches of the coast this is one of the most scenic states in the country not to mention having the most accessible resources, and she skips the 250th to make Virtue Points hating Trump. Not that a Communist wants to help businesses thrive in a state like The People’s Republic of Oregon.

You would think at a time when your state is running in the bottom ten for a healthy business climate you would not snub the country’s giant celebration. It would be one thing if you were leading the country and another when you are nearly dead last and your citizens are suffering so you can Grandstand to all your Communist friends.

It is time for Oregon to put the kiddies table in the closet and turn the state over to the adults like Christine. It is time for sensible leadership to put the state back on the economic map again. It is time to stop soaking the workers with unaffordable taxes and time to make our forests productive once again. It is time to put Oregon on the map for something other than Portlandia riots and mayhem. It is time for a change and that change is Christine Drazen.
