Call your state Senator today and every day from now until the vote and tell them to withhold their vote on the Kotek Tax Bill. This is the last push to make any who may be sitting on the fence one way or the other. It is pretty sure there will not be any Repub voting for this monstrosity and there may be one or two Dims who may not want to destroy their political careers.

You need to give them three main points which destroys their reason to vote for this boondoggle. The first is Oregonians are already overtaxed and cannot absorb any more taxes in this tough economy. With the downturn of Nike and Intel there is little working Oregonians can pay for wasteful spending for Light Rail Choo Choo trains which do not move people nearly as efficiently as cars and busses. Oregonians are up to their necks with high prices, low wages, and the highest taxes in the nation already.

The second point is there is no Global Warming and these outlandish laws are wasted money on something which does not exist. Punishing people for driving is a fools errand since you cannot show one example of the earth getting warming in Oregon. Algore’s scientists predicted there would be no snow in the Cascades after 2020 when in fact there have been some of the heaviest snow packs in the last hundred years in the past few years and will be in the future.

Third, the Kotek Tax Bill is a result of her and Gov Brown forcing the Forest Service to close down the most productive forests in the world. This was done in the names of both the Spotted Owl fraud as well as the Global Warming hoax.

The Spotted Owl cannot be saved by setting aside forest lands since it is being hunted and eaten by the Barred Owl. It’s only possibility for survival is letting it breed in managed forests where they can hunt the Barred Owl. The state needs to open these lands to the lumber industry and generate more revenues to pay these taxes.

For these three reasons there is no need to pass Kotek’s Tax Bill. This bill needs to be voted down since Oregonians cannot be buried under more massive debt. This will not affect Global Warming because there is no Global Warming and it is time to manage the forests properly and generate tax dollars from these forests.

Call or write your Senator today and urge them to vote no on the Kotek Tax Bill since you cannot afford more expenses in an already expensive state.
