Everyone needs to rewatch that Jimmy Stewart classic Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and renew their faith in America. It rings truer today than it did in 1939 nearly a hundred years ago with the ideals it conveyed. The monuments and traditions you saw a hundred years ago were a bit different today as is the technology but the actors in congress and the press are still the same, dirty snakes who try to destroy everything good.
What truly stands out is the basic building blocks of America stood so strong and powerful back then with the ideals of freedom. Everything the communists are trying to tear down today were wishes and idealism back then with the love of country as a naïve country boy goes to the swamp as it was portrayed back then.
Built into the story is the Lincoln Memorial with his most powerful speeches of how in the course of history there has always been a yearning for freedom and America was the first real experiment of self-rule. Abraham Lincoln was seen again and again looking down on this young senator standing against the machine as Don Quixote against the dragons. He represents mans yearning for a voice in the wilderness calling for an oasis in the grass-covered plains of America a truly patriotic call for this wonderful land.
Today the other side is trying to tear down America’s freedom by tearing down all of the Lincoln Memorials and replacing them with garbage. They have to disparage people who love this country as buffoons who cling to racism and fascism when they cling to just the opposite, Lady Liberty’s Torch and Lincoln.
They try to make you ashamed of making America great or being nationalistic to make you fear them as being sub-human.
No, it is just the opposite just like Jimmy Stewart who only wanted more freedom and seeing this incredible gift from God outside of the tunnel. The tunnel represented the world in DC or the city where your head is down and never getting a breath of fresh air and when you leave the tunnel the light is nearly too bright to see, but you do see this country from the Founding Father’s eyes and what an incredible form of gummit they invented, a truly beautiful country from sea to shining sea.
This is what America is, a place where people can do what they want to do and become who they want to become. In Europe you take a test in high school that tells you what your profession will be, and you have no ability to advance from that career. Here you change careers like you change cars and nobody can stop you. There is nowhere on the planet where you can do this one simple thing, which is why America has more millionaires and billionaires than the rest of the countries combined, Freedom.
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is more than a Senator holding the Senate locked down with a filibuster, it is the heartbeat of America and all of its beautiful design. When Lincoln looks down on Senator Jefferson it is so powerful as you realize the giants who went before us in this incredible country are all looking down on us. America has had more political giants than any other country with Lincoln, Hamilton, Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, and Reagan who have absolutely changed America, the world, and political thinking. People around the world would give their right arms to just breathe one breath of the freedom these men spoke of and the communists want to destroy it all.
The Democrat Communist Party spits on all of these men whose ideas and foundation we enjoy without appreciating it. America has the most unique form of government from the one man one vote to the three branches of government which has been tested again and again. You should not be ashamed to be an American or a Christian Nationalist since all of these men would likely be proud to have that name which is also called Patriot.
Jimmy Stewart played that part perfectly and today would be mocked and ridiculed for loving his country too much. Of course, he would not care and would stand up to them like Lincoln stood up to the Confederacy since there are times when men must make a stand.
This is one of those times and no matter what names they call you, they all mean American who loves his country and will do anything to protect that Lady in the Bay who holds the Holy Bible in one arm and the Light of Freedom in the other. If that makes you an American Nationalist than count me in twice.
